The new Vancouver boutique is the second standalone location for the French luxury jeweler in Canada. The Yorkdale location opened in summer 2017, and is a smaller, one-level store, measuring approximately 1,620 square feet. The Vancouver boutique, on the other hand, is more than double the size of its Yorkdale location. The French luxury jeweler has plans to expand its presence in Canada in the near future. This article covers the opening of the new boutique and the Alhambra collection.
Alhambra collection
For fifty years, the Alhambra has been a staple of Van Cleef & Arpels’s collections, refreshed and reimagined with new designs. Each decade has introduced new gemstones to the Alhambra collection, including the feminine mother-of-pearl. Today, this collection continues to impress with its versatility and design, and the Alhambra is one of the most popular motifs in fine jewellery.
The four-leaf clover has long been a design staple of Van Cleef & Arpels’ collections, and the brand even incorporated wooden talismans and fairies into its designs. The four-leaf clover motifs began to appear in the company’s designs as early as 1928, and the motifs served as a launching point for iconic styles. Inspired by the famous four-leaf clover, Jaques’ creation of the Alhambra collection incorporated twenty different motifs.
The alhambra collection has three sub-styles. The Vintage Alhambra stays true to the original design of the collection, with its alternating smaller and larger quatrefoil motifs. The Sweet Alhambra collection features delicate miniature versions of the larger Alhambra. The Lucky Alhambra focuses on the symbol of good fortune and uses nature-inspired patterns. The Pure Alhambra offers a burnished finish. The Byzantine Alhambra reflects the geometric patterns of the Egyptians.
French luxury jeweler
If you are in the market for a new, beautiful piece of jewelry, consider visiting Van Cleef & Arpels Canada. This French luxury jeweler has been designing exquisite pieces for over 130 years. Their designs are inspired by natural elements and often incorporate animals, flowers, and fairies. Famous celebrities have opted to wear their jewelry, including Grace Kelly and Eva Peron.
With high-quality craftsmanship and innovative designs, Van Cleef & Arpels has a worldwide reputation. While their jewelry may be expensive, it’s well worth the price tag. The brand is known for having jaw-dropping markups. In fact, a recent study conducted by diamond expert Jacob Worth found that a Van Cleef & Arpels diamond ring had a 314% markup, and was sold for a fraction of the cost at a non-luxury jewelry store.
After establishing itself in France, Van Cleef & Arpels began expanding their retail presence in Canada. The luxury jeweler opened a flagship store in Vancouver, British Columbia, last month and plans to open another location by November. The boutique carries a range of popular pieces from the Maison’s most iconic collections, such as the Cadenas and Alhambra.
Vancouver boutique
The brand’s new Vancouver, British Columbia, boutique is the latest addition to the luxury brand’s global presence. The 1,200 square-foot space is filled with beautiful jewelry, timepieces, and poetic complications. The store features the latest interior design concept, including a warm color palette, a crystal chandelier, and polished stainless floral facade. Inside, you can browse through the entire collection of fine watches and jewellery.
The iconic, timeless designs of Van Cleef & Arpels have made it the brand’s top-selling jewelry and accessories line. The brand’s extensive collection showcases an array of models in precious metals and stones. The collection is known for its versatility and beauty, but the company’s classic white mother-of-pearl designs remain a bestseller. This elegant jewelry will never go out of style.
Plans to open second Canadian location
Luxury jewellery house Van Cleef and Arpels is looking to expand its presence in Canada. They recently opened their first freestanding location in Toronto and are looking to expand into Vancouver. The luxury brand recently announced that it plans to open a second location in Vancouver in a few months. The luxury watchmaker also announced plans to open a partner boutique in Toronto at Birks next year.
The brand has been working with Birks to expand its store, which currently stretches over 20,200 square feet. The new flagship will feature separate entrances and signage. However, the boutique will not be selling any of its own products. It is expected to open in spring 2017.
