Van Cleef & Arpels designs are influenced by the cultural climate

Inspired by the geometric shapes of the Art Deco movement, Van Cleef & Arpel’s Alhambra collection was introduced in 1968. A gold bead in the center is the focal point of this necklace. During the process of creating the necklace, the master jewellers rework the gold frame. They shape the prongs to create a more rounded look, allowing the motif to be securely held into the gold frame. Finally, the pieces are polished and completed.
